Chase B’s interest in music developed when he was very young. When he was in college, his grandmother bought him his first set of turntables, in which he used to practice for long hours. Chase shares,

“My grandma brought me a set of turntables three years ago and I remember I took it home for Thanksgiving break and I locked myself in the room and probably DJ for like ten hours a day.”

After college, Chase B moved to New York where he lived in New Jersey. It was the beginning of his career and he was not well known. He used to get gigs over New York City. He recalls his time in New York when he was not famous,

“I was kind of slowly getting my name outside in New York. You Know I’d be in Jersey and then when promoter will call my phone and do lots of parties and shows and events here and there, a really beginner phase type of events. The hardest part was the train from Jersy to NY stops at 2:30-3:00 in the morning and the party didn’t stop till 4 in the morning and the train starts again at 5:30 or 6 and I didn’t really know that many people in NY like I am gonna come over and crash real quick so lots of time I really have to be at Penn Station”

Chase B also recalls being shy of cash and having a hard time to even feed himself,

“It got grimy and money was slow for me and I would get medium pizza from Domino’s and have it for a couple of days and eat a slice when I was dying of hunger”
